copy function. cut and paste.

Its just a little thing, but, when posting Ive just noticed that you can left click and highlight all the script that you have just typed into say the reply box,
but you cannot use the copy function.
why would I want to?
quite simply because occasionally when you submit the text it and it all goes wrong and you find that you lose the connection and the dreaded message looms "page unavailable"
then when you go back the reply text block is blank, you've lost it all and you have to start again.
OK, but if you just spent 10min typing only to have to do it again then personally I become a little frustrated.
you can I note still type off site say on a note pad or rich text doc and then do a cut and paste into the reply box. which may be the only solution?
Is this permanent or can it be changed?
oh well here goes see if this post's ok?

Re: copy function. cut and paste.

Hi Simon, I have had that problem since the new site as well. I use Internet Explorer. I did find on the old site on Fire fox I could not copy and paste so I reverted to Int Ex.

However I have overcome it by these two ways.
  1. When you want to copy and paste something click the Preview Post button below next to Submit Reply. You can then in the preview, left click and the copy will show in the drop down when you click right.
  2. The other way to do it is, when you want to copy text that you have just written do this: Left click and highlight the text then>>>hit button Ctrl and c on your keyboard that will then copy all that you have highlighted and you can paste in the normal right click drop down way.
