mor piccie probs

when I try to upload a picture I get this message.
upload error
your file of 151.7 KB bytes exceeds the forum`s limit of 97.7 for this file type
so what do I do now....
I thought things were going too smoothly..........

Spice, I use a program called Picasa 2 .It is free, do a google search .
When you install it , it will find all the pics on your PC.Click on the pics you want to resize .Down the bottom right (on the version I have) there is a button marked "EXPORT" .Click on it and a new window will open,giving you some option.Reduce size to 800 or 640 , quality about 75% .

Just downloaded the latest version. Its the same. Download >>HERE<<



1) Single Click on pic you want to resize (more than one, then shift+click)

2)Click the Export button

When you click Export you will get this window


Choose destination folder , resize , and image quality...I use 75% .Gives good results .


The picture I used was 1.6 MB , after using Picasa it got it down to 53kb

But I still cant get it to work
have loaded picasa 2
but when I try to upload pic to post it still says its too big.
I have done the export as you said but how do I then get the pic onto the post. getting on my tits now may just give up....
what am I doing wrong...............
picasa found all my pics on the whole computer, and then resized them as you said 640 pixels at 75 %
but it still says they are too big..
so what now

OK Spice, this may seem like a really silly question BUT after resizing, you are trying to upload the RESIZED picture? You will have two copies of each.The original which is left untouched and the resized version.
