Can't log in

I'm using a rather old Mac ibook, running Mac os 9.2.1 & IE (mac) version 5.

I enter my username (Jeb) and password. I then get the "thanks for logging in" screen, then get redirected back to the forum, but still not logged in.

Confused with this mac thing

I forgot to mention in my last post, that while it states in the forum front page that I am logged in, I still only have access to the "unregistered" areas of the forum. Most of the threads are showing the locked icon.

I've always had similar problems when trying to post a reply.

I always get "Welcome back BigKev" then I try to post something and get the 'Log In' screen. After logging in 10 or 12 times it generally recognises me.

I don't like to tick any 'Remember Me' boxes as other people often use my computer when I am out of the office but, if that's what it takes, I'll give it a go.

Kev all you have to do is Log Out when you leave the pc.

then log in again. But you only have to log in if you want to post or see if you have any pm's.

As you probaly know, this site uses cookies to keep you logged in. If you have 'Keep me logged in' checked this cookie is saved to disk, otherwise it is kept in memory and expires after you close down your browser.

Try this:
If you're using Internet Explorer, select the tools tab on the top (if you can't see it press your 'Alt' button). Select options -> privacy. It should be set to medium. If it's set any higher you'll need to click on the 'Sites' button and add http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.com to the box, then click on allow.

OK,

I have set the Hangout website to a "trusted" site, with Low security.
I have set Cookies to accept all, with the "dont ask" option.

Same result, front page shows me as logged in, but when attempting to post shows me as "unregistered".

Should have my laptop back in a week or so, then I can give up trying to figure out this ancient MAC.
