Question Re: New Models

Came back from the Foundry today after 1000 ml service apparently no 08s on display other than 08 sportster range on show as from Wednesday evenings open night with "finger buffet". Dont know if this applies to Stratstone too!

Re: New Models

I saw a few copper coloured ones down there the other day, have to say I did like the colour scheme. seemed a lot better than the 100 anni ones.

Re: New Models

And... Saw Big Al and Roger (superglide) at the Foundry on Saturday afternoon. I thought this was an invitation from HD to view the new 08 models. Well they only had the Nightster...! Lovely bike but I was hoping to see the new Rockers. What was the point of the invitation? End of rant... JohnT

Oh yes of course you do...well just my opinion innit ?. I always liked the 95th colour scheme (Midnight red & champagne...I think..) but the black/silver combo never did do it for me...having said that..a nice 100 anni Fatboy would be nice.. And....yes there wasnt much going on at Foundry Sunday either...Id been in earlier in week, and seen the 105s and the Nightster (which im still unsure about). I think all the dealers are having probs getting the Rockers and Fatbobs in.

Re: New Models

I like the 105 Anni colour scheme myself, so much so that I got my FXD valued against a new sportster low or custom in that very colour! Still undecided as to what to do at this time, but I have been considering a return to the sportster, I have to say! Its a real tough decision though, having owned the Superglide from new and for 9 years. Ill probably have to chew on it a bit longer! Good to see John and Al over there Saturday, too. Cheers.

Re: New Models

Take a test ride Rog. Apparently the newer rubber mounted Sportys are pretty good. Wouldnt you miss the big twin? I must admit though, despite having the Street Bob, I am really enjoying the Sportster and its great on the twisties and with the forwards Im very comfortable at 5 10". A great bike! I always liked the Anniversary paintjobs (Chris) and prefer the look of the Sportster Customs. As soon as the weather gets really nasty Ill do the 1200 conversion. All the bits are waiting for me in the garage. JohnT
