 2nd Sept rideout
A good turnout of members today, maybe it,s a case of making the most of the last few weeks of summer? A few new faces amongst us,sorry gents but Im lousy with names. It was decided on a short ride to the gliding club at Challock for breakfast where we always seem to be made welcome and after putting the world to rights for another week we moved on to the Foundry. As expected Bill must have lost count of the times he was asked if hed go the distance today without a repercussion of the previous weekend, and lo and behold he did,(too many teas to buy this time if he hadnt). Upon arriving at the Foundry it became obvious that the number of visitors were down on previous open days, the lack of new 08 models on show probably accounting for some of it. However it still enabled us to do what we like best and thats to mix with like minded people and talk Harley. Most of the members moved on homeward at around 12-1pm but a few lingered on until 2.30 ish. I for one, her here indoors still wants the skirting boards painted! It just leaves me time to say thanks to all who turned up today and in the short time Ive been a member have all made me welcome.PS Next weekend a few members are heading for Brighton, weather permitting, the meet up point: BRENLEY CORNER 8.30, so easy on the amber nectar Saturday night!
