Hello

Hello to al HDRCGB I am hoping to start enjoying some of the rides I know you have, but first I wouls like to say the following if anyone can help?

Hello I am looking to join a club where I don’t have to attend all the time as I work Abroad and never really know when I am available to go on rallies etc, as with some clubs this upsets other members if you miss club nights etc.?
Also I live in Medway Kent, are there any HDRCGB members/meets etc in my area?
I have been riding a Sportster Custom for about 5 years and thinking about upgrading to a Dyna in the future depends on cash flow??

Skipper

Hello Skipper ,the beauty of this club is you can involve yourself in it as little or as much as you like, either way you will be made most welcome. There are members near to you who meet up for the rideouts on a Sunday. Keep watching this region(17) and take a look at the diary that has its own thread to see whats on. Above all else though WELCOME

Hi Skipper, welcolme, as Kevin said, just turn up when you can, we have a planned rideout calender and there are plenty of guys who are in Medway/Gravesend as well as those from East Kent who tend to meet up on Sundays at 10am at McDonalds at Chestfield, old Thanet way between Whitstable and Herne Bay, Last weekend 21 of us met and went for local ride, to Ashford then on to Bobbing Iwade to Pub, guys do meet there on a Thursday evening.
Look forward to meeting up in future you are very welcome

Hi Skipper,
This could well be the club for you.
As already said, you get involved as and when you like.
Really friendly bunch too.

I've only been a member since this year and only been out a handfull of times with the region but you soon get to know everyone.

Plenty of advice too when you need it.

As the other have said, this might be the Club for you. You don't have to do anything at all if you don't want to. Just read the Club Mag and check out this website occasionally or go full on hard core in a wet field every weekend and run for president.
The deal is.. You join a national club, then if you want, you hang out with the local peeps in a Region.. It doesn't even have to be the geographical Region you live in.
What we often suggest is; you check out the Region meeting places in the Stickies, turn up to something you fancy and say "Hello". Hang around a bit and see if you think that the Club is a good fit for you. If it is, then cough up your dosh and there you go.
It's the oldest continuously operating H-D Club outside the USA. As you might have noticed the Club is now in it's sixtieth year. So don't think of this institution as "a" Club. We used to be, quite rightly, referred to as "The Harley Club"

Re: Once signed in to 'Newbies Section' "If your from Kent, say hello here also'

Hi, just introduced myself in the main section (dunworking) thought I'd pop in and say hello here as well.

Only had my 1200 Sporty for a year but have love every minute of it. I live in High Halstow near Rochester (about a mile from "Angel Farm" which is a real spectacle to watch when those guys go out on a rideout).

Married with one daughter aged 13, the wife won't even sit on the bike when on its stand let alone come out on it with me, but my daughter loves to get out on the back.

Seem to be plenty of Harley riders around the local villages but don't know if any are members - perhaps I'll find out now!

Hope to meet up for a ride out soon.
dunworking.
