Ahhhh Seventeen, Not only my regional number, but the number that conjures up happy memories.My first road bike D7 Bantam, my first car Ford Anglia,Tracey, an amply breasted red head, Summers that lasted for ten months or so it seemed,Starting work, Traceys breasts, Cheap petrol The Sweet, Chicory Tip. T Rex. Oh and Tracey,or have I mentioned her. Happy days

Hmmm 17... Well I was seventeen in 1979. Thin Lizzy released the 'Black Rose' album and I saw them perform it at Hammersmith. I went to see Led Zeppelin at Knebworth. Like going to see God and all his angels... I had my first car, a Vauxhall Victor 2L with a bench seat and column change. Fantastic... I rode a Suzuki GT125. Margaret Thatcher came to power  I had hair way down my back and was still a bit scared of girls...  JohnT

Also 17 in 79, Started work full time so had some cash, Got my first bike: a new 1979 Honda CB100N in silver, Got my first car: a 1974 Ford Capri 1600XL in a rather disgusting brown (I think it was called "Roman Bronze"), Went to the States for a month on holiday (should have stayed), Had not yet discovered girls as I was having too much fun on wheels (still think it's more fun!),

Also 17 in '79, Started my apprenticeship and bought my first new bike a Kwak Z200 which I immediately chucked a mega exhaust on thereby voiding the warranty - good move - NOT Like John said the summers seemed to last from March to November, went to see AC/DC and Black Sabbath at the Hammersmith Apollo, and also had a girlfriend called Tracey with the most memorable assets. Oh to be 17 again, would I change anything - not bloody likely !Nick |

Are Yes 17 It Was 1983,i Was Very Much A Skin Head Then Drinking In The Benjy Beal,brewery Tap And The Northern Bell Pubs,2 Of Which Are Shut Now,pass The Dutchy Was No1 With Fat Larrys Zoom,and A Cant Hurry Love Cover By Phil Collins,i Think It Was The Year,i Discovered The Hurlimans,and The Kfc Bargain Bucket,as Well As The Pancake Roll.we Still Had A Proper Sea Front,and The Summers Did Last Longer,it Was Also The Year I Met A Blonde With Nice Assets And We Are Still Married Today,she Must Have To Pinch Herself Every Morning When She Gazes Over At Me.
