Banner ordered

Heard from one of our newest members Ian Welsh this morning. The silver tongued devil has managed to get the price of the banner down by £20.00 + and at this moment has fronted the payment enabling us to have it in time for Detling. Thanks for this Ian. Although no one is obligated any donations to paying for it would be appreciated and some members have dug into their pockets already this week for the tent. I wont mention £s on an open forum ,but anyone who needs to know how much we need to raise either phone or PM me

JOHN
Could you put up the banner image 14 x 3 for me as Im having troube attaching right now

Re: Banner ordered

Do these items not get paid for by the profit you make on the patches and T shirts ?

Re: Banner ordered

It'd take a long time Rod. At this moment in time were relying on members generosity as was shown on the Meltdown to settle up with Ian. However as I said no one is obliged to

Re: Banner ordered

I will pay the £20 owed for the tent but I can't keep on donating as I am not involved in any of the behind the scenes decisions made.

I would suggest involving everyone with the design/decison making process then you may get more contributors at a lower cost to each member.

I will make my donation to the club in other ways.

Re: Banner ordered

Al's view was that there was likely to be insufficient funds due to the expenditure for the Pitch n' Party, which is why the benevolent and altruistic local membership decided to dig deep for the tent and banner, so as not to look like a dog's dinner for future eventsrather the well oiled machine that we have now become!

Re: Banner ordered

The tent was agreed at The Meltdown last Monday, son't think I was there at the time, but I certainly supported the decision. There were at least ten present who agreed to donate £20 each and most handed the money to Darren there and then with Al's blessing.

With ref the banner, I believe Kev knocked up the design, ran this past Al and Ian just decided to stump up the money himself. With regard to the design of the banner, Kev has attempted to post the picture of this without success and I have tried to help him and failed - something to do with pdf and JPegs. Rest assured there is no attempt to exclude anybody from decisions, I'm sure Chris would back me up on this.

So I believe that Kev is simply asking any who would like to make a contribution to do so, but no arms are being twisted. I'm sure that kev / Chris will add to this - correct me if anything I have said is incorrect.

Regards

JohnT

Re: Banner ordered

I Thought I Was Just Helping Out. I Happen To Know The Company Who Kevin Had Gone To With His Banner Design,so I Said I Would See If I Could Get A Discount On The Price He Had Been Quoted,i Was Successful With This So I Liased With Kev And In Order To Try And Get It For Friday We Had To Pay For The Material Because It Was A Special Order.no Intention Of Offending Anyone, just Doing A Duty.if It Causes A Problem I Will Be Happy To Pay For It Myself.

Re: Banner ordered

I feel recently that decisions are being made by yourself and Kev without consulting the rest of the region.

The SE is much larger than the Thanet clicks.

I know I don't travel far due to my anxieties and are unlikely to attend many events but would still enjoy being included in the design process and decision making as its one of my key skills.

It may just be I am having a bad week but I am sure I am not the only one.

I will concentrate on the R17 badge Idea and stick to what I am good at.

I will put any profits back into the club and see that as doing my bit.

I'm off for a ride in the rain.
