July 20th rideout

With the triple happening this weekend it was expected that numbers would be low at McD's. WRONG, ten of us were there with new faces Gazza,Mick and John. Welcome gentleman. We decided on a repeat of Thursday evenings Folkestone ride stopping off at the clifftop cafe at Capel le Ferne for breakfast. As before the route took us back through the Elam valley where we stopped off for a half or two at The Palm Tree Inn at Wingmore(Untitled Document) Here we were made very welcome and it was mentioned that the Inn is host to a few bike rallies over a summer, one taking place Aug 30th, an empty date in our calendar?, c/w bands discos and such like. The landlady went on to explain the use of the site is free with a huge marquee permantley on site in case of bad weather, camping is welcomed in the superb manicured field adjacent to the pub and due to noise regs they close the resturant to make more space inside the pub for the bands and late night revelling. This venue is well worth another visit, an opinion everyone held who was present, check out their website.A really good ride ,thankyou all for your company

Re: July 20th rideout

Ten...?

Hah - we laugh in the face of the number ten...

There were how many R17 at the Triple?.. 35+ at last count?

And still we had ten at McDs!

Well done chaps. Sounds like a good ride and welcome to new brethren.

Valhallah, I am coming...

Re: July 20th rideout

Bummer! Thinking that there would be little activity at 'Mc D's' this Sunday due to the Tripple, I played at been 'Billy no mates' and went out for an hour on my tod! Bad call!

Mind you, with our Oz trip looming up at the end of the month, I've more than enough to do preparing for that, as the better half keeps reminding me.
