I'm with you there William thanks, but I bought the bike a couple of months ago with the tyre combination as is (both in vgc) and no weave.

Certainly if all other measures fail, that Dunlop is coming off and an Avon going on.

Hopefully Foundry HD should have my swing arm parts tomorrow (Wednesday).

Re: Oswestry looking dubious - weave!!!

I have a non-weaving, handling whoopy doo Dyna. Hooray!!

Turns out the main problem was some loose spokes in the rear wheel, and I mean loose!!

Phoned around Friday and the guy at V Twin in Rye said that it was a common problem on Dyna laced rear wheels and even told me that he bet it was a problem on deceleration... !!

I must say a huge thanks to Little Bill and especially to Kevin B for all the help in sorting this one out.

WHAT???

So you didn't check the spokes like I advised but orderd a new swingarm, WHY?

That was the source of my weave, symptoms sound familiar.
Best of luck sourcing the problem wherever it lies.

Re: Oswestry looking dubious - weave!!!

I said it may have loose spokes as well seeing as it started after hitting a pothole.

To be fair they looked ok at the roadside. But I wasn't involved in the repair diagnosis.

Still could have been an expensive lesson in not checking the obvious.

I take it you took the swing arm bearings back to the foundry.

Well done team.
