Oswestry looking dubious - weave!!!

Well I pumped my tyres to correct pressures and did a test run this evening.
No good...
Major weave slowing from 75mph through to 65mph. I'll have it on the lift tomorrow (Wednesday) but puts a question mark on Oz doesn't it.

Re: Oswestry looking dubious - weave!!!

What sort of tyres and pressures?

When did problem begin?

When was bike last ridden?

Has anything been altered?

Thanks Tony.
First noticed the problem last Saturday riding back from Foundry with Darren and Rod.
Tyres - front Avon Venom, rear Dunlop, both in excellent condition. Pressures front 30 rear 36.
Nothing has been altered but I did hit that pothole on the way to Foundry. Nothing visually damaged nowever.

Re: Oswestry looking dubious - weave!!!

With the Avon I would add 2 or 3 lbs above the setting given for the original Dunlop. This suggested by Avon. I asked about when last used in case it had developed a flat spot. There could be other reasons but let us know what difference the extra pressure makes.

Dont worry about Oz M8, had a PM from Rubber Duckey. I have a ticket for 'Thunder in the Glens' so its seems like I will have steady ride up to Aviemore The weather looks good now for the weekend...

Hope your problem sorts itself out...

Bloody Harley's nowt but trouble lad...

Well all I can say Rod is look out for a bloody great pothole / manhole cover or something just this side of the Canterbury (Sturry Rd) railway crossing.
I hit this so hard it not only clunked the bike but jarred me too.

I may have been heard to elicit an expletive or two at the time...

Re: Oswestry looking dubious - weave!!!

Best get the balance checked as it may have loosened a spoke. Bloody potholes. Get a ruler and photo its depth. The council paid for a new set of alloys on my friends car when a pot hole destroyed them.

They should pay to get the bike repaired by the foundry.
