Re: Eddie Kidd at the Dawg..

Just to keep y'all posted. I have today arranged for both the East Kent Gazette and the Kent Mesenger to be present on the day. Both rags very interested in what we are doing. Still awaiting a reply from the local TV company via email. Just to reiterate a previous posting, John T and I will be at the Dancing Dog from midday on the 19th to move the garden tables and chairs out of the way. This will enable us to bring all the bikes into the pub garden.Any other help would be appreciated. With the western town backdrop, it should make for some great pics.
Jules.

Jules.
All being well,I should be there at midday.I've booked a day off from the family and look forward to sitting down with a pint whilst watching you and John move the garden tables.I will be avaliable to help should you begin to struggle (i.e. I'll point a bit)
Seriously though.I've had no input on this. The least I can do is lug a few tables around.Just keep the dog away from my crash helmet

Re: Eddie Kidd at the Dawg..

It's not a pretend dog
It once tried to use my lid as a toilet (no comments please) and it's never quite been the same since Cut Throat played catch with it.
The sound of a big lump of wood hitting the poor dog will haunt me forever.
On the other hand...
since the dog tried to defile my crash helmet.
.the sound of the big lump of wood hitting the dog was music to my ears
It's the only dog that I know that plays 'catch' with literally any weight of wood !

Re: Eddie Kidd at the Dawg..

I'm really pleased because the latest edition of American V (Issue 31) has an article entitled

'Eddie Kidd in Kent'

This is on page 8 and tells the story of how we met with Eddie earlier this year at the GEMS at Detling and helped him out before going on to riase some money. The event at 'The Dancing Dog Saloon at 2.30pm on Sunday 19th (this coming Sunday) is advertised and I really like the way the article closes: -

'...the folk of Region 17 are trying to get as many riders there as possible, to show their support for an all too frequently forgotten motorcycling hero.'

I must thank Kevin Bolden for persevering with the press and to Andy Hornsby (editor of American v and HDRCGB member) for featuring us. The mag is bloody good this month as well. Thanks!

Eddie is likely to bring along copies of his DVD featuring his best jumps, for those who would like to buy a copy and he'll happily sign it for you.

We'll send round the bucket to try to raise a bit more cash on the day.

Try to be there if you can.

Thanks

JohnT
