| Allo... Allo... I shall say these only once... Glorious 17th set off this morning for the land of cheese and wine, staying at Sue and Paul's place at Les Balls. Weather looking good.  Sorry to those (Brigger) who would have liked to come but for whom we were unable to get things sorted in time.  and to Brian, Christine and Pat who intended to come but then had to change their plans. Have a good weekend (Brightona?) everyone.I have the Blackberry with me so all being well we ought to be able to send the odd post back. Bon Vacances... JohnT

| Re: Allo... Allo... I shall say these only once... Just heard from JohnT, Rubber Duck, Little Bill, Darren, Cut Throat, Kev, Ian et al. Arrived safe and sound and now find themselves in the local bar.  Sun has shined on them all day, empty roads and a very warm welcome from Sue and Paul.

Just back from Ride to the Wall, very moving.... got a chance to wear my medals and my 'Cherry Berry' something I swore I would never do when I was younger, somehow it seems more acceptable now, Emotional with the 'Last Post' always gut wrenching as we have all lost some we knew well or were loose aquaintances. and the pipers with Amazing Grace had my eyes watering and a strange shortage of breath.... But I wasnt the only one there several hundred, possibly a thousand hairy assed bikers and the girls all choking back a tear or two. One very sad point, two very serious accidents on the A5 both involving two or more Harleys, made me feel ill as we filtered passed the bodies receiving treatment in the road, as I mentioned in a previous post, my thoughts are with those who were injured and thier families... Enjoy you trip in France 17'ers and ride defensively... have a biere Blonde or two for me or just maybe have a blonde or two.... Brigger |

We would have slept well if it weren't for the hippo in the room, (no not me this time). Showered and coffeed up the Glorious 17th are deliberating on Le Touquet, watching the racing which is just down the road or other possibilities... JohnT

As far as the evening concerto in the sleeping quarters, if certain members could market their screaming eagle snore boxes, it would be banned in all states!! Says it all when one of the major culprits has to go to bed with ear defenders in!! No names of course!
