As many of you know,at this years AGM it was my decision to stand down as Asst Rep (East), after a fair bit of deliberation,and some very supportive comments from members in the East, I have decided to stand again for this post.
As many of you know my life has been..well, complicated for the past few years,this has had me thinking that I wasnt putting into the club maybe all I could have done as Asst Rep. My life hopefully is now on a more settled keel,and its because of this,plus discussions with Janie and members close to me (both in location and friendship) that I have been able to come to this decision.
I'd also like to invite any other members (in East,Mid,or North Kent) to consider putting themselves forward as Asst Reps or indeed for any post they so wish to.
The more choice the members have on the evening of the AGM is in my view all for the betterment ( is that a word ?) of the club.
So do all you can to make it to the AGM,to have your say and vote for who you want to Represent you.
PS As many have said on this thread before, I too am very sad to see Al stand down, tho I know after 5 years he has done more than his share of good work to get Region 17 where it is today.Whether I get re-elected as Asst Rep or not, I will support the new Rep,whomever it may be.
