Re: Our Bank Holiday

It was really good fun.Credit to Locust (Brian) for sorting it out (and making there were no plans)
Brian did admit though that he had a few phone numbers from the New Forest crew if we were really stuck. And we nearly were.
I forgot to mention the evening meal on the ski slope in the New Forest.
Another time for that.

Re: Our Bank Holiday

OK, now that my morphine is wearing off here are some photo's as Troy said.

First day was getting a bit worrying when everywhere was booked, and even when asking in pubs they just laughed at us and said no chance, but there you go.

First photo is of Troy walking backwards up the ski slope in Austria, while me and Colin were sitting in the bar having a few beers (No Troy was with us in the bar)

We had the whole place to ourselves it's well popular there.

Re: Our Bank Holiday

I will get used to this posting lark one day, anyway on the way back walking along a country road in the darkness Colin ended up in a ditch, I was going to leave him there but he got out by himself, damm.

In the morning we decided to head for Exeter and take in some of the wonderful countryside, no motorways or main roads for us, some of the sights were breathtaking and as for some of the smells well we'll say no more.

While in a garage when Troy was filling up me and Colin started talking and Troy came over to ask if we were nearly there and I mentioned there was a change in plan we were going to go down to the Lizard Point in Cornwall for just a few moments I throught Troy was going to chuck his dummy out but it was only a joke Anyway on reaching the pub which Colin has been talking about for years we just rode into the massive beer garden which was occupied by young families, grandparents, marquees and also a band, I think they thought the end of the world had come with us three dirty bikers ruining there sunny day. The management legged it after us but all in good humour and allowed us to stay, good guys down in the West Country, so a few beers, the most expensive chilli I have ever eaten (Colin paid) we set off on a walk, again not sure where we were going.

But not getting anywhere we decided to head back and had half hour or so lazing about in the sun, while Colin had more beer.

Anyway thats enough for now I need to get some more painkillers, but it was a blinding weekend, no plans just seeing what comes, we made a few friends I think
