Our Bank Holiday

Our bank holiday consisted of one Sportster, one Superglide and one 750 Triumph Bonneville.
At the end of the weekend, approximately 500 miles were covered. The Triumph was the only one that sailed off into the sunset

We met Brians friend at a service station (possibly in Surrey)

We ended up in a pub for lunch about halfway to the New Forest

Colin was the navigator. He stayed in front whilst Brian and I took turns to get lost behind him.He did a cracking job.Towards the end of the weekend though we did realise the his judgement of distances was a bit suspect
Here's a pick of a layby I think in Dorset..

Brian.Trying to work out where we are

To be continued....

Re: Our Bank Holiday

When we arrived at the New Forest, everything was full.(apart from my fuel tank )
Brian ended up talking our way into a site at Christchurch near Bournemouth. We were crammed into a tiny space..

Feckin' caravans

On Sunday morning my battery decided to commit suicide. It would have been nice for it to warn me first, but I've got used to Harley electrics.
After bumpstarting me and waking the entire campsite (bet you wish your caravans were soundproof ) Exeter was mentioned by Colin.
Errr.WTF.Onwards we go...

Notice in the next picture how lovely my bike looks. The bastard won't start. But it's still quite pretty

Re: Our Bank Holiday

We decided to follow Colin to a bikers pub in Exeter which allowed camping in their extensive pub garden.
We arrived on Bank Holiday Sunday whilst the pub were having a family day barbeque with musical entertainment.
Unfortunately for us.It was no longer a biker pub with camping.
Basically,we rode three bikes right through the middle of their great family day.We parked the bikes in the middle of the beer garden (amidst a fair bit of interest) and sent Colin off to find out about camping.

Yep.No bikes ..no camping....and can you please remove your bikes from the middle of our pub

They ended up being really nice and let us camp in their car park for the night.
Exeter is a cracking place.Girls in skirts and dresses that look like girls, real ale in every pub.We had a good wander about.
.and then made camp...
These were the conditions we had to deal with..

After several hours of ale,We made do...

Cracking weekend

Re: Our Bank Holiday

Brian's got some more picces.Hopefully he'll stick them on.
He slept between the bikes.I got woken up by a black labrador at 5.30 being taken for a walk.
Luckily I'd sobered up and always prefer blondes
