Gliding Club

Went to Gliding club for brekkie today,and I suppose as we have become regulars there now,the guy from the club asked if we would be interested in trying a gliding lesson...this would mean a group booking (min 8) on a weekday evening,going up with an instructor and either, let him do all the flying while you take in the sights,or..he takes you up,and lands you and in between you get to take the controls...sounds good eh ?
This would start from £20 a flight (winched up) or £50 with a aerotow (towed up by a plane..but a slightly longer flight)...so now we need to know..anyone up for this.?

I think I would like to give it a try albeit I hate heights and my every sinew is screaming don't do it . On the basis you are a long time dead I think I will have a bash, so count me in subject to me being able to adequately tighten the faithful old truss.

Yes will have a go at this, last time i went up in the air was in a Tiger Moth from Headcorn. No comments about age and a long time ago please.
Still think would prefer an engine in mine!!!

I did a day's introductory gliding course including 3 flights some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Might even be tempted to go up again this time round. Mind you, that was £40 for the day! That's how long ago it was!
