Sunday 8th Remembrance Day

This Sunday being Remembrance Day, a ride to the service at Capel-le-Ferne was mentioned.
So as to get there in good time..ie not come rumbling in once the service has started..it was suggested a meet at McDs at 9 rather than 10am.
After the service brekkie at the clifftop cafe maybe (if open).

Re: Sunday 8th Remembrance Day

Hi Guys, i went to Memorial Site today, tracked down lady contact as its shut after September only to find that they have the service there on the 11th, so we need to look at alternative.
I did this afternoon txt Chris as he was working to try to stop this thread.

Re: Sunday 8th Remembrance Day

If the weather is not of biking quality then Els, Mike and I will take a stroll up to 'The Square' in Birchington where there's always a parade and a gathering.

I'm walking up to Birchington Square with my sons - parade at 10.30, gathering in The Square at 11ish.

Re: Sunday 8th Remembrance Day

Met Framie at Brooksend, then at McDs Darren turned up...then...no one.
So we went into Whitstable had a bite to eat then caught the tail end of the service at Whit war memorial..then rode home to ever brightening skies...typical innit !...
