Newbie alert

After being bikeless for 12 months, I'm back on the two wheels with an XL883R from Tuesday. Live and work in Glasgow. Have previously had a wee cheap 125 and a 600 Bandit.

Cheers..........Marko

Re: Newbie alert

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Now that is one hell of a bike. The stage#1 modification makes it growl like buggery. It feels like the bike still has a lot of running in to do though - it's only done 650 miles so.

You should've seen the kids faces when I got home tonight. They didn't know I was buying it

Question (aye I know - spot the newbie) ;) - Never having ridden a Harley before, is the very loud POP that you get every so often at low speed/revs normal ?

Re: Newbie alert

Marko, well done on the new bike mate.
I`ve just got my first Harley, it`s an orange 883R with the stage 1 and racing pipes and it does give out the odd pop now and again but for me after years of Jap blandness then the ride of the Sporty(and the looks) is a thing of beauty.
Enjoy your new bike.
