Got myself my first bike

Havin pissed about on trial bikes most of my life i finally scraped the cash together to buy a proper bike. Went for a wander in westcoast harley a week ago and sat on a nightster/sportster wotever you wanna call it. I ordered a black one and just like every other hd owner i spent more than i expected on bits and bobs before i even got the bike.

Black v&h short shots, lowered rear end to bring that back fender right down to the tyre, forward controls, numberplate where it belongs on the side of the bike and today i mite fone and ask for a set of drag bars. Its supposed to arrive next week so im pretty chuffed

I did laugh at the amount of middle aged business man types in the shop talking about v-rod this, chrome helmet that!

Here, i see a lot of the folk on here with road pirate pictures. Are you lot a mc club? If so where are u based. Im too young to be a clyde valley hog rider hahaha

Re: Got myself my first bike

I hope your spine is strong as the Nightster is already pretty low with next to no suspension travel and lowering it must almost make it a rigid.
I hope you can prove me wrong, let us know how you get on.
Are you going with lowering blocks or something like Progressive 412s if so what length?

Make sure you collect all the unused parts for future use if needed, a lot of people leave them behind at the dealer then regret it later on!!

Enjoy

Re: Got myself my first bike

springs i reckon will be 11" progressive. I wanted the fender right down near the tyre. The euro ride height ruins the look of the bike and makes it look like a fucking monkey bike.

Dont worry ill be sure to get hold of the original parts.

As for having a strong spine, dunno bout that but i have a pancake arse which is perfect for long distance riding on a rock solid seat
