Re: erskine week ride in

jist in ,had a crackin wee day, about 900 quid for these ol guys ,and some clubs handin cheques for over a grand as well, all spectrums of the biker world there, scooterists, head doon arse ups, harleys, sports bikes
met two old boys with their careers (il post piccies later, jack lees and davie)90+yrs old, noo these two ol ferkers, still had a twink in their eye, they were actually involved in the Great escape jack was the runner around the camp passing messages to the guys who were masterminding the escape ,and he was the 87th person oot the tunnel
and davie he was the guy who came up with the plan to get rid of the dirt from the three tunnels, if you remember the film, sock contraptions that the prisoners wore under their strides and released with strings to empty the dirt into the prisoners home made garden he was 91st to come out but he never got that far as he germans rumbled them by that time, i asked him if he would like a shot oan the bike, 10 yrs ago i would have took it, a spin, lmfaoooooooo. respect to them ol guys

Re: erskine week ride in

never knew he had a book mac, let me know the name of it, will ya,lets hope they do it again next year ,and maybe a wee bit more advertising would help i reckon there was about 100-150 bikes there, didnt help two major rallies on locally, that cut down on the numbers, but there again, it was jist enough to get talking to a lot of these guys
