A68

Finally made it up to Scotland on the Deluxe from RAF Lakenheath. Wife and I spent the night in Berwick upon Tweed and then hit Roslin the next day. We took the A68 back to England. Just have to comment, as I always do when we go to Scotland, that it reminds me of Texas. Some of the friendliest people in the world and always great scenery. The only problem was that we couldn't find an open butcher anywhere on the A68 so we missed out on our Haggis Also, that freakin' wind was kickin'!!

As always, thanks for the hospitality!

Thumbs up Re: A68

Glad to hear you enjoyed your ride up north! Nice bike by the way...how did the BB repro bags do on the journey? I've had mine about two months now and thoroughly impressed with both the product and the company.

Re: A68

Glad you enjoyed.

The A68 and whole Borders/Northumberland area in general are possibly the finest ridiing roads in the UK. Empty. Scenic. And occasionally sunny!

Re: A68

Heya Niddite...BB bags were fantastic. Held nearly everything we had except for a small backpack that my wife was wearing. Kept it all dry and secure. Just adds to the nostalgia of the Deluxe. Great pic of Elvis styling' the bubble bags on the BB website eh? By the way, you've got a nice bike too...The white bubble bags look kickass with that color.

Thanks for the haggis offer Gogsy, but I think I'll take you up on yours the next time we're up north we'll visit The Kingdom. Give us an excuse to come back for the haggis. Are you on the UKDN site by any chance?

Like I said before, keep you're eye out for big, corn-fed Yank heading your way looking for haggis, whisky and those wide open roads.
