As I said Robbo, its definately a wiring problem,probably broken somewhere on the loom.
disturbed when you replaced the Tanks on the rebuild.

had a guy out yesterday turned up at 10pm, he cut a wire from my harness cut another from my starter relay block. told me it was my handlebar starter switch, i had a spare switch of my 1992 sporty wired it up today.kill switch now starter and getting no spark. wired the same way it came off.will have to get him back again.

I did put on a post you started in the technical section to try contact cleaner on the starter switch, bloody sight safer than cutting wires. I would not get him back.
