Given the vagaries of the Scottish weather it can be difficult to set a formal pattern for these so there may not be much notice given. However that doesnt mean a regular run cant be organised with a "whose gaun" question put here on the website?
The easiest option may be to set a start point/s and time and just see who turns up. Given the geographical spread of our members it may be sensible to have a couple of start points to be used alterenately e.g. Stirling Services and Biggar?
Last year on a midweek evening of warm sunshine (its true!!), a spur of the moment run meant that some of us met at the Inn on the Loch in Lanark for a pokey-hat and a blether. From there a couple of the guys headed down to Dumfries. There was only a few hours notice on this and it was communicated by text message (I think...canny mind )
What do yae think? Is there an interest in this sort of thing? Any ideas of how to make it work?
