Harley Funeral escort for Cryste in Plymouth

You may had heard about Cryste's tragic accident on Sunday. She was not a member of HDRCGB but was a member of HOG and a fellow Harley Rider.

Her husband would like a Bike escort for her funeral.
I know so many bikers that we did not know came to escort Craig for his funeral and myself and Jan feel it is only right that we do the same for Cryste as a fello Harley rider.

Below is the email I have received from her husband.

The Plymouth hog chapter forwarded me your kind email.


I remember reading about Craig and Cryste was shocked by it, she was always deeply moved by stories such as his and the fact that he was a Harley rider made it even more poignant for her as for Americans if its not a Harley, its not a bike.


Thanks for your offer to pass the details of Cryste's funeral on to the HDRCGB and see if we can increase the size of her escort. As this is the last thing I will be able to do for her I am so hopeful that it will be a big event.


The funeral will take place on the 12th of June. We are provisionally saying that bikes will meet in the Morrison's carpark, Billacombe Rd in good time for a 920 leave heading over to weston mill crematorium. Our FLO is trying to sort out a police bike escort to make traffic easier.


I'd be interested to know how you heard about the escort? it seems to have become big news quite fast!

I have had a couple of messages from her hubby and he and his son and daughter are riding to escort Cryste as well, he just has to sort out a couple of pillion rides for this children.
It is so sad, Jan and the Callington Crew went and laid flowers there on Wednesday and met her daughter there....just so sad....
If we could round up a few bikes it would be lovely for her family and good PR for the club as well.

Hi All,
For anyone able to help with the escort, details are below.
Meet at the Tamar Bridge car park approx 8:30 with the aim to leave there at 8:40am, arriving at Billicombe Road Morrisons at 9am. We should be leaving there approx 9:20 - 9:30 to escort Cryste to Weston Mill Crem arriving there for about 10am.

Her husband Mike has asked for anyone on any bike to come to do the escort so if you know of others who dont ride Harleys who would be able to attend they are most welcome.
