I'll be going, rain or shine
I'll be coming down from cheltenham to the rally so I can't meet for the ride up ,but if I can find somewhere to stay I might stay in chepstow myself Sunday .

Re: Hoggin' the Bridge . . who's going

Pity we didn't see you Rob. Had a really good turn out from the region and the Callington Paragraph. Seem to lose everyone in the car park at the bridge but thankfully we had Brain (Dave) to lead us on a short cut!?!? to the middle of Chepstow. Agree about the wind, it was only Jane pushing from the sissy bar that kept me hanging on, think my arms nearly touch the ground now!!
Enjoyed the day and thanks to all that turned up, Jane will post some pics later.
Anyone know if Paul (fatboy) got home OK?

Re: Hoggin' the Bridge . . who's going

Hi Ian,

Yes Paul got home OK. He's contacted Riders this morning and they are going to pick his bike up tomorrow and will repair it under warranty, so that's good

This was Paul's first ride out, so I have explained to him that although it is called Hoggin the Bridge, the idea is NOT to Hog it all day

Regards
JJ

PS Are you and Jane going church again next week?? Lovely cuppa...

Re: Hoggin' the Bridge . . who's going

I went, Burnt me oil! Some crap idea turning off at the first exit (Chepstow) only to be routed back onto the M4 up to the next junction (was this some scam by a dealership to shag as many motors as possible to get some work?) anyway, of at the Magor Junction where the whole world & his bike were stopped! so some of us decided to drive back down the M4 & take the Chepstow turn off, getting into Chepstow was then quite easy! Good bands but the trade stands leave a bit to be desired! Then a VERY windy drive back to Brizzle. A good cause, but not quite good enough to shag my motor for. Don't think I'll go next year.............

Re: Hoggin' the Bridge . . who's going

Also did the ride but as my pillion didnt turn up to my place in Ilton until 9.45am wasn't able to meet up with anyone as planned at Sedgemoor..so will hopefully,as a newbie, make a meet or event to in the near future.

I can also vouch for the windy ride back and was surprised to have made it home in one piece...especially as I am recovering from a shoulder operation!

Ride safe

Rob
