It's my friends 40th birthday on Sunday 2nd November, and we've arranged a surprise champagne brunch river cruise for her (complete with Elvis music). It departs Kingsweir (across the river from Dartmouth) at 10am.

Now, Bev is a biker and I've been trying to get her to buy a low-rider Sportster as she loves Harleys. At the moment she's got a little AJS 125cc Cruiser, but she does already have her full licence.

Anyway . . BIG favour to ask if anyone's free and up for it - as I said, it's a complete surprise what we're doing. As far as she knows I'm picking her up on my bike and taking her as pillion down to Kingsweir to go across the ferry for breakfast in Dartmouth (obviously all depends on the weather).

But what I'd like to do is arrange for a small Harley convoy to turn up at her house in Brixham, then to have a little ride round for 15 minutes before all heading off to meet her other friends in Kingsweir. She'd be totally gobsmacked and blown away :-)

After that, anybody who comes along could possibly go over on the ferry to Dartmouth for breakfast or perhaps have a ride-out in the South Hams.

It would depend on the weather . . no good if it's rain forecast. Anyone who fancies helping out, we can meet on Paignton sea front at about 9.15am.

I can highly recommend breakfast at Alf Resco's in Dartmouth . . not large portions, but quality flavours !
