Torbay Area Meetings info - The Harley-Davidson Riders Club Great Britain

Hi Everyone,

Here's the information about the new monthly meetings for the Torbay and South Devon area. The new venue is The Parkers Arms and we'll meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Directions to The Parkers Arms

from Plymouth area - A38 then to Totnes on A385. Go through Totnes heading for Paignton. As you come into the outskirts of Paignton you'll pass through Collaton St Mary . . careful here because there's a speed camera. About 100 yards past the camera, turn right at the Parkers Arms (on the corner, just past the BMW dealership).

from Newton Abbot - to miss all the heavy traffic from the penn inn roundabout into Kingskerswell, you may want to consider riding along the A381 from Newton Abbot to Totnes (nice winding road too). When you get to Totnes at the roundabout, turn left and then follow the road to Paignton (as above).

from Exeter area - you have a few choices. Follow the main A38 to the Totnes turn off and then use the Plymouth directions. Go in to Newton Abbot and follow those directions. Or come down the A380 all the way to the edge of Torquay where you then turn right at the roundabout and follow signs for Paignton and Brixham. Go up the hill, and then keep going straight over all the roundabouts until you get to a major set of traffic lights. You need to turn right here and follow signs to Totnes. The Parkers Arms is about half a mile on your left . . the car park is immediately left, and then right, behind the pub.

The Pub has a large car park at the back and a nice garden for the summer months. The landlords have only been there a short while, but they've got a lot of plans to update the place and also have live music etc. They've already got a new head chef and have made changes to the old menu. They're very much biker friendly and Deb's brother in law rides a harley in the liverpool area.

So, this is the new venue for the Torbay Region 12 Meetings, to be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month starting on 12th November at about 7.30pm

We're also holding a Christmas Dinner, for the south of the region, on Saturday 20th December, here at the Parkers Arms. I'll post up more details and information about the food etc nearer the time. I believe the cost is £15.45p payable on the night. If you want to come, let me know . . we already have about 24 people coming, so numbers are limited now, but I expect they can squeeze a few more in.
