Xmas Dinner Menu Parkers Arms

Here's the menu for the Parker's Arms Xmas Dinner on Saturday 20th December 7.30 for 8pm at table. They need to know what people will be ordering to eat; so once you've decided, can you please let me know either by PM or telephone 01803 391943 . . thanks.

The list of people wanting to come, so far -

JJ & Karen, Paul & Tracy, Steve & Janey, Jof & Caroline, Iain & Jane, Dave & Janine, John & Mandy, Paul, Barney & Naomi, Colin & Mitzi, TK & Lynne, Callum, Colin, Neil and of course, Me. Kelvin & Jayne may be joining us for drinks at the bar.

Let me know if you would like to be added to the list . . the food is payable on the night and is £15.45 for adults and £7.95 for children.
There will be a DJ for the evening too, so we may have to cover some of the cost, but this will be a maximum of only £1 extra per person. This is something I'm trying to organise with the pub to make the evening even better !

MENU

There will be a choice of:

Homemade soup of the day or
Festive prawn cocktail or
Creamy garlic mushrooms

British Turkey
British Pork
Quorn roast and Nut roast
There will be a selection of festive vegetables including roast potatoes, new boiled potatoes, apple & cranberry stuffing balls, yorkshire puddings, button sprouts with chestnuts, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and mashed carrot and swede.

Christmas pudding served with a choice of either brandy sauce, clotted cream or cream, or
Homemade sherry trifle or
Selection of ice cream

Coffee and mince pie

I think the pub shuts at midnight. Don't forget - let me know what you want to order at least one week before the date, otherwise you'll be having bread and jam or some of TK's left-overs !

I vote we sit Mac on the far end of the table the furthest away from the kitchen as to my knowledge no food has made it past him!

Food choices passed over to the pub yesterday . . still waiting for Neil and Boom Boom to give me their orders

I've been told it's going to be a carvery style, so we definitely need to be at our table for 8pm because they've got another smaller party booked in for 8.30pm (at least we can get the best of the meat and veg ). Arrive anytime after 7pm for drinks and a chat at the bar. We'll be by the bar in the restaurant side, not in the Public Bar.

I'm hoping to do a small raffle to raise the money needed for our share to pay the DJ . . so please make sure you bring some loose change for raffle tickets . . I'll try and persuade Lynne to do the touting, as she did such a fabulous job up at the North Devon meal
