Supposed to be sunny with light showers . . so keeping an eye on things, fingers crossed we'll miss the showers down here

Looking forward to one of those BIG breakfasts at Grand Central, Paignton

Anyone else up for it ? Might be a lot of fun (need to check my battery's not gone flat . . not been on the bike for a week . . sacrilege I know).

Re: THE TOY RUN - Sunday 14th December

Well, checked the bike yesterday . . and yes, the battery was completely dead . . it is over 4 years old, so hasn't done bad. Anyway . . I've been meaning to put the new one on for some time, so that decided it ! Two hours later with finger tips frozen off . . I have a brand new battery all connected.

Just got back from the Toy Run today . . met up with JJ, Paul and Tracy for breakfast in Paignton. JJ's right about it being one of the best places for brekkie . . £5.95 for 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 fried bread, hash brown, tomato, bubble n squeak, baked beans, black pudding, toast and marmalade, orange juice and tea or coffee . . and all nicely cooked and good quality. Very friendly owners too. Excellent result

We rode up to the Star Inn near Bovey Tracy (this is the new pub venue for our Bovey Meets) and met up with JOF, Kelvin and Jayne, and even JJ's mum and dad turned up in their mini. All in all, there must have been 40 bikes for the ride down to Torbay Hospital children's ward. The presents (and there were plenty of them), followed down by BMW (the car variety).
We had an excellent run down with JJ stopping loads of cars at various roundabouts to let us all through.

JOF was talking about riding over to Abergavenny to give his BMW a little run-out . . I THINK he was joking, but he did say it with a glint in his eye, so he may be riding off into the sunset this evening . . . it's OK for him, 'cos he can fit all his luggage into those enormous side-cases.

Will definitely do this again next year.

Re: THE TOY RUN - Sunday 14th December

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun, sorry I couldnt get there I was putting the bike back together after getting a couple of bits powder coated. Its now all back together and I've just been out on my first ride in weeks, god its good to be back on the bike even though it was a tad cold, sounds like that breakfast would have kept me warm.

Put me down for one when the weather warms up a bit.

John W - more BLACK on the bike . . I bet it looks really smart now (not that it was bad looking before of course). Still haven't had a sit on it yet . . perhaps at the next Breakfast Club meet

John M - well done John, it must give you a lot of satisfaction doing the run for the old folks . . we all enjoyed the Toy Run immensely as well. Doesn't really matter about the cold, as long as the faces are smiling ! Cheers . . and have a good Christmas if I don't see you before.
