Hello to the HDRC !

Hello everyone,
I just joined online after reading an old copy of the harleyquin mag in a stack of BSH in the downstairs bog. It sounds cool, like a proper 'riding' club. I've been riding for nearly 30 years now, live in Torquay and although I had the best intentions in only using my 50'000 mile cb250rs this winter my Glide is as usual caked in burned on WD40 and needs a tfr and jetwash.
I was wondering how many of us there are around the area, I will no doubt be meeting some of you at the club events and suchlike but if anyone knows the numbers or just wants say hello please do and if there are any 'Laverdisti' (it's a rare italian disease) among you get in touch as I have a rare beast!
Best wishes
Mark

Hello and welcome.

HELMETBOLT aka Mick in the North East region is a Laverda man from WAAAAY back and is or was for years (I am sure) in the GB Laverda club. Look him up on here....

Hi from Cornwall, there quite a lot of riders in the torquay area, go back through the posts on Region 12 and you will find the name of the area rep and meeting places.

Re: Hello to the HDRC !

Hi Mark
Welcome to the region, I think we are about 150 in Region 12. Steve Munns (orlandomad) and Colin Belsher are your area reps (south devon) and Paul Daw (landrover man) is the region rep. We have a ride out on Thursday to The Crossways Inn (see thread) and one on Sunday to meet up with Region 30 (cornwall) at the Jamaica Inn. Next meeting is at the Star Inn at Liverton on Wednesday 7th. We also have a xmas party on the 10th (again see thread). So hopefully see you on the road soon.

Re: Hello to the HDRC !

Hi Mark . . good to see another Harley rider in the Bay. Next meeting for our area is at the Parkers Arms in Paignton (on the Totnes Road) on the 14th Jan at 7.30pm. We've only just started having meetings in Torbay, so it will be great if you can turn up to meet some of the others.

There are three of us (so far) that are riding up to Bridge Motorbike's on New Year's Day. I think Nick will be contacting you to arrange times etc. I live in Paignton, so will come over to Torquay first before riding up to Newton Abbot to meet up with JJ. Lunch will be in Okehampton at the Crossways Inn where we'll be meeting up with those coming down from North Devon.

All the best
