Help for Heroes night - Dawlish, Devon - Saturday 3/10/09

Hi All

A mate of mine is organising a Help for Heroes night in Dawlish on Saturday the 3rd of October. Details are:

Main event of the night is listening to 'Dire Traits' (you can work out who they are a tribute band to!) and more info on them can be found at www.diretraits.net. They will play a 2 1/2 hour set apparently (they'll play an hour, have a break for the raffle, and then play a further 1 1/2 hours.)

At present there are 36 prizes for the raffle, ranging from bottles of wine, to Domino's pizza vouchers and even Fizz's skirt with a letter of authenticity that it was actually worn on Coronation Street! I'll be flogging tickets shortly at £1 a strip, even if you're not attending, a mobile number on the ticket secures your prize.

The main prize is likely to be (don't hold me to this) a weekend for 2 in London, staying at the Holiday Inn on Regents Park , along with 2 tickets for a tour of Buckingham Palace , and that will probably be auctioned off at the end of the night.

The cost of this extravaganza is a massive £10/ticket , and they are available from me.

The event is being held at Lady's Mile caravan park in Dawlish, and the park have kindly offered caravans at a ridiculous rate for the night of £45 +£3 to have the heating turned on. This is irrespective of if you book a 5, 6, 7 or 8 berth. So if a load of you pile into an 8 berth then it makes for a very cheap night out. To book accommodation simply ring the park on 01626 863411 and quote 'Charity Evening'.

Yep count me and Janine in,bring the rest of the drink so can try and drink it all again. Brian bring a funnel we can pour it down your throat.up for it if the rest can make it. Had a great time in Cornwall.

Paul & Tracy have ordered and paid for 6 tickets for you. Two adults and one child for JJ and and 4 tickets for Joff & Suzie Sue, Dave and Janine, sending the cheque off first thing tomorrow so if anybody else wants tickets let me know. They are £10 for adults and £3.50 for kids.

Spoke to Lady mile farm this morning and after waisting my time with the YTS numpty spoke to the supervisor booked my caravan (was told there are loads still available) 8 berth for £48 there are only 4 of us in there at the moment if anybody else wants to share let me know.
