Re: Spare bulb Set..

Sammie, Halfords will sell all the bulbs you need. They should be standard bulbs.. the rear brake light should be a 55w x 5w W=watts not sure what they put in sportsters now but it has always been a standard bulb. look in your manual or phone a dealer to find out..

The rear may!! be a push in one like some other models.

Indicators headlight are all standard so if not sure take the rear one out and in the shop with you.

Legal Requirements (Docs, lights, etc) whilst touring in Europe

Re: Spare bulb Set..

Its the rear thats going to cause you a bit of an issue finding it. I found the dealer quite good at letting me know wich ones I needed to buy off him and the onmes I could get elsewhere easily!

Likelyhood is your not going to need it - you could just buy any old apare bulb set cheaply from Halfords as froggy PC plod aint going to have a clue which bulbs ya need. I decided better to get a set of spares. This the front is a std car halogen bulb, the indicators are pretty std ones - the back bulb is about a tenner from the dealer! Then get a small tupperware box and pack then inside with some cotton wool!

Re: Spare bulb Set..

Check out Lidl or Aldi; we bought our bulb kit in there
Ł3.99.

The bog standard bulbs are ;

Headlight ; 55/60w H4 (number 472)

Stop/tail; 21/5w 21w SBC (number 380)

Indicator ; 21w SCC (number 382)

Those numbers are used throughout the motor trade worldwide; every vehicle light bulb has a specific ID number.

Re: Spare bulb Set..

Get the Halfords kit, and if necessary change the Stop/Tail light bulb for the correct type.
