Re: monthly meetings

Hi all,

I'm in sunny Stoke - Wolstanton to be precise. Would relish the chance of some group ride-outs. I'm new to Hogs, although been riding for ages - to be cruising the roads with a band of Hogs is the stuff my childhood dreams were made of.

I'm not a member - will sort it out. I know Stafford well - I used to teach at a Sixth Form there - The Chetwynd Centre: big old Edwardian building with a spire, think they've built a Tesco behind it now. Used to have many nice rides to work through Barlaston, Stone and Eccleshall on the twisty B's.

Anyways, if there's owt going on, drop me a line!

Hiya Rifter

Anytime you want a buddy to ride with, give me a shout mate.
Only ridden on my own so far, so looking forward to some company....
you know how it is, the noisier the better

I'm in Werrington, Ash Bank, so not far away at all. Been out this evening
whilst the sun was shining. Bloody great

Re: monthly meetings

Nice one Veggie - I'll take you up on that, mate!

I'd be up for it this weekend, but the wife is
off down to London for a few days, leaving the
kids to run rings round me!

Bugger, I'm going to BSB the weekend after too!?
Mind you, doesn't have to be a weekend does it -
tell you what, I could free up an evening, get the
kids to sleep early, and meet up with you.

How does next Wednesday evening sound, as long as
we get some semi-pleasant weather??

Re: monthly meetings

Aye, we've got to be due a dry spell some time soon!

I wouldn't be able to make it until around 7:30 - 8:00 if that's
OK. Not too late I hope? Have to get both nippers asleep
before I go anywhere or they freak out!!

Are there some nice roads up past Werrington way mate? I seem
to remember a few of us heading out that way, and ending up on the
country route through Cheddleton for a bevvy. Or am I thinking of
another journey? Memory like a sieve, me.

Re: monthly meetings

When I was in Stafford I called in to the Crown a few times. Friendly staff and nice little pub but no other HDRCGB in there

Re: monthly meetings

Bollocks!! Sorry Veggie - I can't make Wednesday now mate - my eldest's been invited to a kid's party, so muggins here's been nominated Bugger. Can't apologise enough mate - I hate wrecking plans, but can't be helped - if I wasn't going to the party I'd have to stay in and babysit the youngest.

Tell you what though, I'm probably meeting up with 'blueskull' next week, and I'm on holiday too, which is good news. Blueskull's from Wednesbury way - possibly meeting in the middle somewhere? Are you up for that, Veggie?

Of course if anybody else is from the vicinity they're more than welcome to join!! Ahh...... the sound of a thousand V-Twins cruising the highway.........

Re: monthly meetings

No worries matey. I more than understand the issues you get with kiddies,
though I'm sad to say thats all in the past now, as mine are all grown up.

As soon as I get my new email address sorted, I'll let you have it so you
can mail direct.

Luddite that I am, this will take longer than it would a normal person.

Broadband, wireless, network....me heads messed up

When you're ready for a spin, let me know. It'll be a blast.

Keep it shiny side up.;)

Re: monthly meetings

If anyone is at a loose end, Spinney and I are thinking about going for a rideout on Sunday. Maybe set off mid morning ish from Stafford and go out for a few hours with a stop for some lunch somewhere.

If anyone wants to do this drop a message on here and we could sort something out.
