Lets get Meeting up

OK just to let you lot into what I have been up two on the Region 25 .
So if you are interested read on .

BLACK COUNTRY and STAFFORDSHIRE

Right thats it I see that the the meeting for Black Country and Wyvern are still at the new inn pub Wordsley.
You no that one thats never heard of ya or so they say.

Some say in this club that its not important to belong to a region ect ect ..
That anybody can go to any region...well that is true.

But if it ain,t important why have all the regions got their own flags, badges, rallies, rally tents with the said region flag flying aloft.
IF IT AIN,T IMPORTANT !.

To me it tells everyone at a rally where everyone is from within the club and gives people a sense of identity.

So come on all us Black Country/ Staffordshire lad/lasses lets see what we can do to get are own Region Flag Flying.
The meeting place is the The Minerva in Essington.
Just 2mins from jun 11 m6 and yes we will be there every week and they all know us.

Re: Lets get Meeting up

The Minerva at Essington is here;

Hotels and Travel, maps and travel directions - powered by Multimap

What day/days of the month and at what time do you meet ?.

Generally meets start about 8pm in the evening and people will bugger off if you ain't there, so it may be good to have one night that you can guarantee you'll be there early. Always best to have a meet on a day you can get a good turnout.
During the winter encourage people to turn up in cars if they want to, and you'll find you have a decent crowd by the spring.
Holding things together by whatever means is very important during the winter.
If you're doing stuff, brekkies, rides etc post the details of time and place when you're meeting on here, and if you're welcoming enough people will turn up to check you out.
I reckon if you keep posting on here, some people will see you are an active Region .
Some members of adjoining regions will find that you are a closer meet, so don't P!ss em off, a good region works well inter regionally, if you put on a rally someday, they will be the ones that turn up.
Getting your meet and contact details put in the Quinn will get to all members.
Check out the new members section of the forum, many will introduce themselves there and not have a clue where their nearest meet is. They are more liable to turn up at meets if they feel they know someone there. Be encouraging.
People come and go and just turn up occaisionally no matter how hard you try, be patient.

These things take some time to get together Gaz, but once they know the Region is active again, members tend to come out of the woodwork. On the upside, you've got a good bunch of lads together, so you won't be sat in the pub by yourself .

Best of luck lads.

Mike

Re: Lets get Meeting up

You've got my full sympathy Gaz. There's loads of Harley riders round your way and quite a few HDRCGB members, but for some reason they just don't want to get involved as a region.

I tried to get things moving a few years ago when I was East Mids rep. The old saying about leading horses to water springs to mind; don't give up though it takes time.

Re: Lets get Meeting up

Hey Gaz keep trying M8. I guess we're lucky here because we have a great bunch who are not only interested in riding. We use both the forum and texts to meet up usually for either food or drink and sometimes both!
We even turn up in cars as we're old and southern jessies!
