Tuning Problems with dual Edelbrocks

I wonder if anyone has experience of knowledge of these troublesome carbs?

I've recently installed a set of dual Qwicksilver Edelbrock carbs on my 98 Softail and have come up against a brick wall when it comes to tuning them as they are running far too rich & smothering my spark plugs with sooty deposits. I played with them solidly for 6 hours last Saturday & I still can't get them to run correctly.

Is there anyone local (ish) - I'm in Brighton - who may be able to cast their eyes over them for me? L.V has been a wealth of knowledge, but I've now come unstuck.

I'm aware of their reputation, but I just love the look of them - which I know in some Harley circles would be frowned upon - but I reckon I'll be safe here!

Many thanks

Re: Tuning Problems with dual Edelbrocks

I'm not sure if Amond, is still down at American Motorcycle Works (01273-464644) he used to be quite good with Twin Webbers which would be very similar. Please make your self known to us!

Amond left Americian Motorcycle Works, but it may be worth taking it down there - don't quite know if I'll make it that far!
