Local Gigs

Next Sat, 22nd, Aussie Pink Floyd tribute band in Brighton. Madmoose & I will be going. It is good to know that a young lad has got as good a taste as his old man

As far as tribute bands go, another Floyd group, 'Think Floyd' will be performing in the White Rock Theatre, Hastings, on 29th Sept. I like them and will no doubt save up the pension and go along

If you like a sort of Irish/Skiffle/USA type of sound then Van Morrison will be at Battle Abbey later in the year, can confirm the date if interested.

'Ga Ga', a Queen tribute band are also on locally, but at the moment the venue slips my mind, daft old bugger

Re: Local Gigs

'Ga Ga' at the Clair Hall, Haywards Heath on 26th May & Van Morrison on 26th Aug

And all you radio fans, Hastings Rock will be back on 107fm starting on 29th April to 26th May. Good music 24 hours a day, check out their website www.hastingsrock.co.uk. They only have a restricted service licence which lasts for the 27 days, their studio is in the Robert De Mortain pub so they would welcome visitors ;) ;)

Re: Local Gigs

Good music on Hastings Rock - 107 fm.
Or how about Elton John at Canterbury CC. Tickets only £40 to £100 a snip (just what he needs ) 3rd June if you you need to know

If you like ELO the original members are on tour and will be at Hastings on the 17th May.

On Sept 23rd various Pink Floyd tribute bands are putting on a 10 hour marathon of music from all Pink Floyd albums, from 'Pipers at the gates of dawn' through to 'The division bell' and a complete performance of 'The Wall' at the Komedia Brighton. Reckon you need to take sandwiches (See www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk)

Re: Local Gigs

Something for you gels or whoever ;) Plenty of time to plan for it, 17th Nov at Hove Centre (Town Hall) starts 20:00 ;)

Puppetry Of The Penis

A mind-blowing show written, devised and starring David Friend and Simon Morley; two handsome, well-endowed Australians who manipulate their manhood into various shapes, objects and landmarks. A video camera projects intimate details of these phenomena onto a large screen ensuring little can be missed. Discover the Loch Ness Monster! Be blown away by the Windsurfer! Coax the Slow Emerging Mollusc from its shell...

As I may have upset the odd antipodean (as they are, it is not difficult) there is no inference in the above entry that Australians are w**k**s.

However, if the cap fits ----

Although as a note of respect, they are very good at handling odd shaped balls and I look forward to seeing them doing it in France next year ;)
