Re: Sunday 4th June

Slight change of tack , as those following me back from the Angling club on Sunday may be aware, I had a big problem with bike going on and off of one cylinder. In fact the last few miles were entirely 'mono' and a 725cc Harley don't go very well

Anyway, after everyone left, the bike ran fine on both so had a quick look round - found nothing and decided to take her up to Shaw's later in the week to get the error codes read and see if they would give me some ideas. Tried to book her in but with the added work load caused by the closure of SHD, Shaw's couldn't help for about ten days, still not a problem I thought, she's running OK now.
Decided to ride to work next morning, four miles and on to one cylinder, late for work and severely . Took the morning off and mono'd up to Shaw's sheepishly hoping to get some help.

Well the treatment I got was outstanding, hence this post. Within five minutes it was in the workshop and Scanalizer connected. I went round to the shop for a coffee whilst the bike was worked on and had a chat with John Shaw. 30 minutes later bike was fixed and running. The bill was for £25+vat. The fault was a bad connection on one side of the coil.

There are times when we all have something bad to say about dealers but when they come good I think it is only fair to give praise where its due. ;)
