Re: Hayseed Dixie

Hey OB the Hayseed gig sounds like fun. Isn't that the Southend run day?

Rocky Horror show is also in Brighton in March. ( It's the same day as the Pioneer run.) Bit expensive though. About £27

Re: Hayseed Dixie

Karl, you are correct, I probably won't do the Sarfend run this time. So that is why I will do the HD show in B'ton

Further local gigs (Assembly Hall, Tunbridge Wells) are:

Fairport Convention (Folk Rock and suitable for the 'summer of love' as they were formed in 1967), they are on Thurs 8th Feb @ £17.50

Barcley James Harvest (another one) on Fri 2nd Mar @£19.50

The Hollies (who had more hit songs than the Beatles) on Sat 14th April @ £22

How about the Fureys on Sun 15th April @ £16

Dear old Marty Wilde on his 50th anniversary tour on 21st April @ £17.50

There are of course many tribute bands, Bootleg Beatles and Counterfeit Stones included.

BTY next Wed & Thurs there is an evening (each) with local boy Ray Mears the bushcraft exployer relating some of his journeys. He is one of Bens heroes and we went to see him last time he gave a talk, quite interesting. He makes a good living out of talking bollox @ £17pp an evening

Good ole 60s music with : The Searchers, The Merseybeats, Wayne Fontana, John Walker and the Dakotas at the Ass'y Hall Tunbridge Wells on the 13th April

More 60s music (unless he does something new) with James Taylor at the Dome B'ton on April 18th
