Ace Cafe... Brighton Run.

Sunday 9th september is the Ace Cafes Brighton Burn-up. http://www.ace-cafe-london.com/default.aspx As usual there will be a gathering of bikes on Madeira Drive and the Coasters Hostility Tent will be there along with lots of club and trade stands. This year the way of doing things has changed. Usually those of us setting up the Hostility Tent just turn up early and get stuck in. This year you will need a pass to get on to Madeira Drive before the 09:30hrs opening time. I have been in contact with the Ace Cafe and we have got 20 passes for early entry. One will be for the Land rover taking the Coasters gear in so we have 19 up for grabs. Please let me know asap if you will be wanting one ... thats so you can help put up the tent and get set up - expect to be on the seafront by 08:00hrs to do this. We will need to get the passes to you before the day so there is no problem getting in. Send me a PM or phone me on 07801 563220. Phil....

Re: Ace Cafe... Brighton Run.

Remember the road works on the A27 near Lewes, even on bikes there may be a delay in getting through them. Havent been in that area for a couple of weeks and so I dont know the up to date road & traffic conditions. I suggest that those who want to ride down en-masse to get to Brighton by 08:00 should meet up at the Boship at 07:15. Even if you choose to ride down individually the latest to leave would be 07:30. Tent up first, boiler on, a quick cuppa and then go looking for a brekkie, yummy.Old Bob

Put me down (not in the old dog sort of way - not yet, at any rate). Was on that bit of the A27 yesterday. No change really since two weeks ago, well..... except for the fact that it wasnt raining....

Re: Ace Cafe... Brighton Run.

Sounds spiffing, but I think a touch early for the East London branch of the Coasters
