Re: Meridian TV Monday 29th September

There was a reasonable turnout of Riders Club members, furthest travelled probably Big Dave from Region 17 and of course the Coasters who finished off the day at the Chalet for Brunch.

Re: Meridian TV Monday 29th September

We have just got back from Hurstwood Park (via the Chalet Cafe at Cowfold for brunch).
Sally handed over a cheque for £8000 raised via Biking for Brainray (Sallys Ride).Sally gratefully commented to me, that the assistance of the regions of the HDRCGB played a great part in raising this money and supporting her on her charity ride around the coast of Britain.
Sally and Richard were escorted to Hurstwood Park by 4 SERV riders, 5 other mixed bikes and members of the HDRCGB.
The Riders Club was represented by Charlie Harley, Big Dave, Old Bob, Karl, Gazza,Wormy& P and Kim and myself.
I know many folk and Regions in the club, participated in the ride and in raising these funds who would have loved to have been there, but due to work committments etc. So we were very pleased to represent you.
Well done guys.

The handover of the cheque was covered by Meridian News and should be on the tele tomorrrow. Mid Susssex Times also had a reporter there and there should be a story and photo's in there next Thursday.
If there is any chance of getting these on here, I will do so.

Re: Meridian TV Monday 29th September

The Brunch at the Chalet was very satisfying, particularly for me as I managed to acquire an additional sausage from BNM and one from Gazza 2Tanks plus another fried egg along with a few extra chips from Sally and a fairly large dollop of beans from Kim. All in all a result

To top the day I gave the new hip it's first ride out, only 67 miles but it was great.

Not sure what these wise ones were up to:

Re: Meridian TV Monday 29th September

a brilliant ending to a good event, these charity rides are such a plus for the
club, this ride reminds me of the ride for life a way that different regions can
ride together.
a big thankyou to Andrew Moreton MONSTER for his drive to get us all involved
and helping to make this happen
And of course are dear SALLY now a true iron ass

if theres anyone thinking of doing this type thing in the next year i am sure that we can as a club can do are bit to help

Is there a way to copy the threads and make them printable so as to put it in the Quin Barry, pictures and all.

Bob if you copy and paste any text you want in the order you want it then send it on an email to Andy.

Secondly any photos on here right click and save to a file ie Sallys Ride and save them to that file in jpeg format (standard) then send the photos with the text on an email with the picture folder attached. You could number name the photos and put a note between the text saying where you want your photos put.

Hope this makes sense mate?
