Re: New Pub

Save some pennies for the visit to the Crown then Paul - I went down the Bells a little while ago but it was fairly quiet, it'll be ok later. Come along on Sunday lunchtime and join in the Boules chucking.

I was in the six bells yesterday evening. Copperhead was playing. Would have been good to meet up there. We had to ride back in the rain. I must say it was a new concept to me going to see a band and not drinking and I missed it. I'm getting nicely used to rallies.

Re: New Pub

Well, the general feeling is that this would make a good meeting pub.
Lot's of space, inside and out, well priced food, cheep beer and good position.
BUT,,,,, is going under new management next week, so we'll have to do a follow up visit in a few weeks!

What do you think?

Re: New Pub

Hey - location and car park good. Prices better than the Woolpack. My criticism would be that it's too spacious inside and out. People would spread themselves far and wide and we would lose the meeting feeling.
A lot of these cheap food pubs are going under at the mo but perhaps the new owner will change things.

I spoke to Phil last night about trying the Berwick Inn, Berwick. Apparently the new guvnor rides a HD and is keen for us to go there. May be worth an evening look. ( Big garden and car park and a sort of seperate bar that we may be able to use ). The location mat attract more from the West?
