Just to let you know I'm back

my computer thought it would be a good idea to blow up on Friday night. So I have just built another using bits salvaged from three others. Recycling or what?

Hi All just to let you know this will be the last Wed meet with Will and Lauraine as they hand the pub over to the incoming tenants on the 25th so a good fair well turnout would be good.

Just to let you know that further to the above, not only will this be the last with Will and Lauraine
IT WILL BE THE LAST AT THE DRAGON. as on the 25th Nov 2009 the pub will be shuttered and the doors locked. We do have a couple of other venues in our back pocket and will be visiting them before the December meet to make a decision on which too opt for. Watch this space.

The apocalypse is upon us (apocalypse = similar to the monthly plague but less bad tempered)

The problem with the pub is that you need transport to visit it:
You need a vehicle
Tax & insurance
Cost of maintenance
Cost of fuel
Drink & drive restrictions
Spy cameras

and thats before you have a drink

Beer is no longer a cheap drink, if you are lucky you can get a pint for £2.50 but most pubs are over £2.80 (over £3 for Guinness)

Dunno how we can afford to go out any more - as I said "the apocalypse is upon us"

Shame the pub is closing down Chasly
