As I live in Edenbridge which is near as dammit East Sussex, thought I'd introduce myself and ask for a recommendation.

I'm Going out on ride with the wife tonight from Edenbridge. Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to go on the south coast where we can chill out in a nice pub, maybe meet other members.

To give you an idea Brighton is within relatively easy reach for us, so anywhere between Shoreham and Bexhill is doable for us.

The Star at Normans Bay is lovely this time of year , or The Six Bells at Chiddingly is very nice - big beer garden and boules pitch
Alternatively, the Galleon at Cuckmere haven is beautiful - fantastic view over Cuckmere Haven....may be a bit far tho....

Hi Phil, and a very warm welcome this hot evening.
we live in Brighton and having a ride out tonight from gregs cafe Madeira drive brighton about 7.45. Not sure where we are heading but nice ride and maybe a bite to eat,mixture of bikes going about 12 of us.Pop along if you fancy that. Ended up going to the Galleon , beautiful views and very chilled, great roads to get there as well - thanks for the recommendation trouble61.

Only negative was the rubbish service in the bar ( 40 minutes to deliver a pudding from the menu and they stopped serving coffee at 10pm) dissappointing considering the place was practically empty.

Ride next tuesday sounds good, will need to consult our diaries. If I can make it I'll let you know.

Phil, you are right - Edenbridge is just about E.Sussex. Try and make one of the meets - 2nd Wed in the month at the Woolpack, Herstmonceux (about 32 miles for you), a new place on the 3rd Wed in the month at the Dragon, Colgate Nr Horsham (about 20 miles) and on the 4th Wed at the Royal Coach, Shoreham (about 42 miles) --- it'll be good to seeya.

If you study the Coasters forum you will see that there are lots of suggestions but at the moment no plans for a ride anywhere. Some of us meet up with other groups and have a ride out with them during the week , like the Norton Owners Club or even an unmentionable group

Tuesday is an unusual day for a ride but should you wish to try the Huntsman at Eridge next Tuesday (about 13 miles) I will try to be there, maybe Mik can tell us whats on there as he seems keen (Scooter club ? Volkswagon Club ?)

The Huntsman has a good motorcycle club hence the bike show on Sun 26th July. I'll try to get there too!
