Ken
It's about 106 miles from the coast down your way Ken to Oxford Services so maybe that is pushing it for a Sporty, praps the new Beaconsfield Services might be safer or Twoskips will be pushing it

Re: join me on the 10th for RTTW?

I suggest we meet on the roundabout above the junction where the A264 crosses the M23 at 7am. ( Its only 20 -25 mins from where I live).
hows that?

That's a dodgy and very busy roundabout and there's nowhere to stop. If the guys travelling north from Brighton take the slip road onto that roundabout and go right on the A264 towards East Grinstead they could meet you at the big layby about 400 Metres from the junction (toward EG on the A264, y' can't miss it). That'd be much safer -- but it's up to you guys.

Re: join me on the 10th for RTTW?

looks like we are going staight up A24 through Dorking as we are meeting up with Ken's bro enroute. If you carry on along A264 north of Horsham to where it meets the A24 ( 10 mins max), just off the roudabout theres a pull in within fifty yards heading North. Think we're leaving bout same time. Dont worry bout my lil sporty, its a custom with larger tank (approx 150 miles, a little less carring a pillion, but dont tell her i said that) Ken will confirm times nearer
