Re: join me on the 10th for RTTW?

OK, I now have my plan!
Having received the latest update from RTTW2009, and allowing for fuel and coffee before the ride-out starts, I intend to leave Worthing at 06.30. Going up the A24 and pick up Phil at the A264 roundabout at about 06.55 then carry on up through Box Hill at about 07.15 and picking Dave up at 07.20 at the roundabout where we leave the A24 and go down to the M25. This gives us 60 miles to the Oxford services (arrive about 8.15) then 82ish miles to Drayton Manor. I would like to get there about 9.45ish for a chat and coffee.
The ride to the wall leaves at 10.30.

I hope that this is OK for everyone and the weather is good.

See you all on Saturday

Ken

do you mean the knoll roundabout (where the a24 turns right to go over the m25) which looks a bit iffy or the big wooded one which is the junction of the 243 and 254 and has the on ramp for the m25 AND has a bit of parking in front of what looks like a vehicle testing station?

asking cos if i can make it i will try to be there as well.

Im meeting my Brother Ken at the roundabout which has the small flower stall on the layby i think if i remember correctly if your coming from the Box Hill direction heading to the M25 its the 2nd roundabout after box hill, the one before the one to get onto the M25.

I hope thats right.

I hope thats right.
It's actually the 3rd roundabout from Box Hill. (1st is at the end of the dual carriageway by the petrol garage, 2nd is at the top of the hill, the next one is where David will be. The A24 turns right here and goes over the M25, but we will go straight over to the the next roundabout and join the motorway)
As for anybody else hoping to meet up, we'll keep our eyes peeled.
Looking forward to the ride.

See you all on Saturday.

Ken

Note. There is a dedicated motorcycle parking area opposite the main entrance to the services building - head for that and you should all meet up easily.

Phil....
