Re: 18th Oct. Offham Kent.

What a good day out, nice brekkie, didn't get lost on the ride through the Kentish lanes and an excellent show of machines at Offham. It will be a must for next year. Oh yes and great company plus meeting up with quite a few riders club members.

Thanks for posting the day out Phil.

Glad to hear that it was a good day Bob; brekkie, nice ride, good company and interesting vehicles, don't get too much better does it

Thanks to Mick for mentioning it so others could enjoy the day. Looks like it's one for the calendar next year.

Phil....

Re: 18th Oct. Offham Kent.

We met Mick there Phil, also Charlie Harley and mates, Trev & Tango, Gypsy & Jules and a few Kent guys + others that we know but I can't remember .

The village was swamped with vehicles, loadsa old & new bikes, lotsa classic cars (many of the models I had when I was a lad ) many Yank tanks and a beautiful refurbed Citroen Paris Taxi, there were Dodge & Chevy trucks that were in a similar state as our esteemed Presidents truck (must be an old farts thing ) along with Traction engines and a Ploughing Engine.

The road in and out of the village was gridlocked for quite a while, we managed to get in and park on and area of green in the centre of the village. I am amazed that the inhabitants of the village put up with it - that is apart from the Landlord of the Pub

I assume this event is held on the 3rd Sunday of Oct which makes next year on the 17th, I think it is worth adding to the events thread for next year. Mick Gillah will confirm nearer the day.

I just hope that people didn't go to Offham near Lewes but we did set off a bit early for the average 'stop in bed' Coaster

You have dropped him off 'somewhere' Phil - you must've crossed over a deep gorge/river/railway cutting/municipal tip or even Spaghetti Junction

He managed to do some "dropping off" all on his own Bob, mostly from the top bunk in the wee small hours
