Re: The Grand World tour of Scotland

We would be interested in this, we could meet you at the Lakes and take it from there.

NO - you Geordies drink even more than we do - Oh, OK then .

Charlie-Harley - Looks like you're gonna have your work cut out - this could get quite big (relatively speaking).

Hi Wormy
Early days yet but as I recall there is some uni thingy on the same weekend as the Wallace (could be rugby) but I know my brother had no luck with B&Bs, near the site for that weekend as He left it late trying to book, so again early bird and all that.
Aye Charlie

Re: The Grand World tour of Scotland

p.s. - Why the Fek would you want to go to Edinburgh.?? [/quote]

Why would you want to visit The Athens of the North ? mmmm...

Read this, and wish you where here.

As the summer days draw to a close, the russet autumn colours breathe new life into Edinburgh & Lothians with the backdrop and amber golds of Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Garden, the bracing beach walks along Edinburgh's coast and countryside, the invigorating autumn air of the Pentland Hills and country parks like Beecraigs near Linlithgow.
Indulge yourself indoors too with a warming visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience or Edinburgh's lowland malt distillery, Glenkinchie, in Pencaitland, East Lothian. You'll be spoilt for choice with the vast array of places to eat with our many eatscotland eateries throughout the area, offering seasonal, locally sourced produce. Think tasty berries and hearty puddings! To keep you entertained, autumn presents a full programme of events from the sounds of Brass in the Park and The International Storytelling Festival to the colourful displays from Scottish Ballet's autumn season and the National Galleries of Scotland seasonal collections.

READ THIS

As I sit here,
beneath the velux,
The rain makes that pitter patter,
much like 1000 drummers beat a military tattoo,
beating out the rythm,
"Yer in Fekin Scotland noo, Yer in fekin Scotland noo..."

And aye - it rains in Edinburgh too. So when the "southerners" are up at the Wallace - they should enjoy a run around Rural Perthshire and see the sights, And if they want to spend vast sums of money on Tourist Tat, then me and my mates will bring some along, no need to risk their health breathing the polluted city air

Re: The Grand World tour of Scotland

Now Now Dave and Sam play fair I have been telling the boys and girls down here what a hospitable lot we are and that there is no more clan or turf wars, just fantastic places to see and things to do. So at the very least lets get them north of the border before we start the next uprising.
Aye Charlie

PS it goes without saying the West Coast is the Best.

Hi Garry
Not a problem with that. This year on the direct run North we collected numbers all the way north. in fact I think we met others at every gas stop. So more people at the lakes will make for a party on the first night.
Aye Charlie
