Ride Today 7th Nov 14:00hrs Bury Hill Whiteways Cafe

Some of you know that I ride with the Multi bike BHB Forum. Well today I am taking a friend on my Harley. He is Dan and he is 31 years old. He was told 21 days ago that he has bowel cancer that is spreading through his body. The cancer may kill him in about 42 days if the treatment he is about to embark on doesn't work. Dan loves to ride his bike but he can not ride his 125 on L plates anymore because he is just too weak so I am taking him on my bike to a few of his favourite places, Goodwood and Micks Monster Burger Van at Portasdown Hill, Portsmouth. At least 50 bikes from our BHB forum are riding with us today and I would like to ask any one from the Coasters if they want to join in on a simple 2 hour ride. If you want to then the ride starts at 14:00hrs from Bury Hill Whiteways Cafe carpark. Obviously Food Is In Order at the Burger Van (and the monster is a big one I assure you). The ride will end up in Rustington where tea will be provided by friends and family.
The sun is shining for the ride and we have hope that the chemicals will work for Dan.
If you have no ride planned today or are in the area and want to join in, please do so, you are all welcome.
The ride pace is smooth and steady and we are on mostly big roads as can be seen on the map here:

Sorry Peter can't make this one. Mother in law arriving at lunchtime for a TWO WEEK break ( Her Kin Neck ) then I have to be in Watford by 1500 for another event. But hope all goes well and please pass on my regards and let you buddy know he is in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi Pete,
It's 3.30pm and I've only just looked on here, so it's too late to join you, but hope you and Dan had a great ride today.
Having been close to death myself, I know only too well what Dan is going through, so can you please send him my support and love. Tell him to think strong, be positive, even when the going gets tough, he's got to still give it his all. He can survive.
None of us know when our time is up, so everyone, enjoy life, that's what it's there for.
