Fitted to my Softail is VANCE & HINES EXHAUST BIG RADIUS I am looking for a set of quiet baffles, anyone now if they make them for the big radius pipes If not any help with other types of baffles to reduce the exhaust noise.

Re: Exhaust Baffles

Are they that loud you cant live with them? A mate of mine has a set of staggared big shots with "quiet" baffles in and that is still loud, just a different tone. My Arlen Ness pipes are as loud as some V&Hs that ive heard, i tend to take it steady in built up areas and enjoy the freedom once out on the open roads. Your dealer should be able to source the "quiet" baffles if they are available...

not sure where you live? When i changed my pipes i asked my neighbours to let me know if they felt they were too loud, all the ones asked said "yes they are loud, but its a Harley, arent they supposed to be like that?" i have been blamed for revving the bollox off of it a 23h00 on a school night, until in my defence i explained i was away on duty, i then educated them in the subtle difference between the twin cam and the 883 ridden by a guy in the neighbouring court (the dirty grass that i am). They gave him a load of shit for revving it up unneccesary....

Re: Exhaust Baffles

Ok Guys Just ordered some Thunder Monster baffles for my Vance & Hines radius pipes. The sound is deeper than the standard baffles fitted to the Vance & Hines pipes. I will save a wav file as an attachment so you can all hear her after I fit them

Re: Exhaust Baffles

I heard a set of big radius pipes today, man they are LOUD! I dont think it helps that the sound resonates off the ground. They do look the dogs nuts though lets hope the baffles help in your predicament, i hope your neighbours arent your land lord, been there, done that
